Rye Field Hockey Academy is committed to providing quality instruction in a fun-filled atmosphere.
Mission
Our primary goals include not only to have every player develop elite-level field hockey knowledge and skills, but more importantly to succeed in all sports and in life! Rye Field Hockey Academy believes that the most important traits an athlete can have are sportsmanship and self-confidence. But in order to grow, the player must want to thrive in all environments and in the face of any challenge. Initially, like with anything worthwhile, there will be times when the athletes may not fully possess the skill or ability to manage the situation or find their place within our system, but we will train that player to emphasize their strengths and develop them. If for some reason, we are unable to reach the player in the manner we initially engaged, we will change our approach. We believe in education and making the athlete part of the process. In order to motive and instruct the athletes properly we will maintain an open dialogue and discussion so they fully understand and commit to the training.
Rye Field Hockey Academy’s mission is to provide the skill needed in order for a player to grow. This is why Rye Field Hockey Academy was established - to provide athletes a place to develop and achieve their field hockey goals.
Rye Field Hockey Academy looks for characteristics in elite athletes:
• Sportsmanship
• Self-confidence
• Demonstrated skill (even under pressure)
• Respect for the team, coaches, and the game
